The infamous and much loved Jindabyne Miss Piggies rugby team is back in 2012 and will kick off their season by hosting eight teams from the ACT and southern NSW in a gala day of Women’s 7s Rugby.

In conjunction with Cricket Australia and Jindabyne Cricket Club, this year sees the introduction of Milo in2Cricket Have-a-Go program in Jindabyne.

Jindabyne swimming club combined with Cooma swimming club on Saturday February 11 to hold their annual open swimming carnival at the Berridale pool.

It’s still summer but plans are becoming well advanced to celebrate the June long weekend and the opening of the snow season.

THE Dalgety Show Society with the support of the Southern Rivers Catchment Management Authority is including three new classes in the show’s photography section for 2012.

Plans are well advanced for the establishment of a new Australian Navy Cadet unit in Jindabyne and two enrolment and information sessions will be held on Saturday and on March 3 at the Sport & Recreation Centre.
